Who We Are

ADWA opened its doors in 2003 in Marrero, Louisiana with 10 students, including our 2 daughters and I was elated! By 2004, we moved to a larger facility and doubled the number of students. As they say... the rest is History! We have had graduations, school dances, competitions, many outings [both in-state and out-of-state], and best of all we celebrated Ashlynn's high school graduation with the ADWA Class of 2012!

Our vision sprang from our family's need and desire to educate our daughters. The curriculum had to be a challenging one since we enjoy challenges. Our own Ashlynn slowly became disabled in 2011 and confined to a wheelchair. BUT, in 2012 she was able to ROLL Across the Stage in her Wheelchair receiving her High School Diploma! (Her photo is on the Home Page).

WHAT A VICTORY!

Whether your family traditionally prefer private schools or you are just beginning your journey with private schools, we are here to help by offering a "Different Environment for Learning," called DEL. Once you complete your tour of our website, give us a call and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Our students have graduated and attended various colleges/universities or the military. There is a misconception that homeschool students do not receive the same opportunities as those who attend public school. ADWA has proven this myth to be wrong!
